The HEC Paris Youth Leadership Initiative is an intensive one-week program held in English.  All students are expected to be fluent in English.

For all non-native English speakers: English language proficiency test score report (TOEFL or TOEIC or IELTS or Cambridge) or evidence (e.g., transcript) of coursework completed in the English language.

Please see here for full admissions requirements.

Upon admissions, students are expected to provide the following documents in French or English (other languages will not be accepted):

  • Copy of passport
  • Housing application
  • Proof of civil liability and medical insurance for your stay at HEC Paris
  • Photo authorization agreement
  • Parental authorization.

Yes, students are required to show proof of insurance for the duration of their stay at HEC Paris. Insurance should include medical and repatriation coverage as well as civil liability.

The HEC Paris Youth Leadership admission team assesses the Youth Leadership Initiative independently and as such no preferential advantage for any other program at HEC is afforded. Nonetheless, attending the Youth Leadership Initiative will allow you to gain an insight and a familiarity with the HEC Paris campus.

We recommend that students bring comfortable clothing and make sure they have adapted shoes as there will be outdoor activities. There is no official dress code for the Youth Leadership Initiative; however, we encourage students to bring one business casual outfit for the final day.

Payment of the non-refundable fee occurs by credit card at the time of the online application.

We offer merit-based scholarships in the amount of 200€.

Full payment is required 2 weeks after receiving an offer of admission. In the case of a late application, a shorter time period may apply. Please refer to the admissions calendar here. Payment occurs online by credit card.

A participant has fourteen (14) days from the day of admission to withdraw from the program.  In such a case, HEC Paris will reimburse all sums paid to HEC Paris in the course of the agreement, unless the withdrawal request is received on or after the start of the Program.

Any request to withdraw a participant’s registration (including cases of force majeure) must be sent by registered mail with delivery confirmation request to the attention of Ms. Elyse Michaels-Berger, including bank details for reimbursement, to the following address:
