LONDON DS&AIB STUDY TRIP 2026
In March, the HEC UK Office hosted the 4th edition of the Learning Expedition to London for students from the Master in Data Science and AI for Business (DS&AIB) program. Over the course of three immersive days, participants engaged in an agenda of company visits, expert discussions, and networking opportunities with HEC alumni, gaining first-hand exposure to the evolving landscape of data science in business.
A key highlight of this year’s expedition was the opportunity to connect with data science professionals working across a range of industries, including leading organisations such as Meta and Louis Dreyfus Company. Through interactive sessions, these experts shared their career journeys, industry perspectives, and practical insights into how data science is shaping decision-making in real-world business contexts. Students were encouraged to actively engage, ask questions, and explore the diverse career paths available in this fast-moving field.
The HEC Paris UK team was delighted to welcome the cohort to HEC UK House for an evening dedicated to networking and community building. Students connected with London-based alumni specialising in data science and AI, gaining valuable perspectives on career progression and life after graduation. We extend our sincere thanks to all alumni who contributed their time and insights to make this experience so meaningful.
Throughout the trip, students highlighted the impact of the experience: “The companies were insightful, and it was nice to talk to alumni”, “Insightful and rewarding”, and “The study trip was a great experience”.
This latest Learning Expedition once again demonstrated the value of bridging academic learning with industry exposure. By combining company visits, expert insights, and alumni engagement, the programme continues to empower students with the knowledge, confidence, and connections needed to thrive in the rapidly evolving world of data science and AI.
