Support HEC

The donors of the HEC Foundation give their time

As well as providing financial support, our donors also contribute their time. In November, four of our Major Donors came to the HEC Paris campus to meet the scholarship students they support.

Transmission os a form of donation

For the fourth year running, HEC Volunteering in association with the HEC Paris Equal Opportunities task force, the Article 1 non-profit organization and the HEC Foundation, is leading a mentorship program for the School’s scholarship students. This scheme provides a year (or more!) of support to students from alumni who share their experience, transmit their expertise and also benefit from the contact with these young generations.

Student Nicolas Biviano (H.24) and his mentor, Jean-Claude Climeau (H.89), tell us about their experience:

Jean-claudeAs a donor of the HEC Foundation, I chose to support social scholarships in particular. The idea of giving a little of my time by taking part in the mentoring program is fully in keeping with this approach and adds more meaning to my engagement.

When the HEC Foundation offered this program to me, I accepted right away! It was a unique and advantageous opportunity for me to have in-depth discussions with someone who has vast experience in the sectors I am interested in.

Enriching encounters between beneficiaries and donors

Foundation - dejeuners en

Each year, we hold lunch meetings between sponsors and their beneficiaries, allowing scholarship students to meet the donor who supports them financially. It is also an opportunity for our donors to learn more about the lives of the scholarship students, their projects and aspirations, as well as their studies at HEC Paris.

Suzanne, Essia, Léo, Andy and Daniel had a pleasant time with Jean-Luc Bélingard (H.71), Vice-President of the Mérieux Institute and a Major Donor who has been working with the Foundation for more than 10 years; Emilie-Céline, Anthony, Irina, Mathieu, Martin, Laurent, Aurélie and Camille met Jean-Paul Agon (H.78), Chairman of the Board of Directors of L'Oréal and Marc Menesguen (H.77), both Major Donors to the HEC Foundation via the Jean-Paul Agon sheltered foundation.

And finally, Raneem, Cinthia and Williams, three MBA students, also had the opportunity to share a lunch with Pierre de Labouchere (H.76), a Major Donor of the Foundation who is highly committed to international diversity.
These opportunities for exchange are always enriching for these students from a variety of backgrounds. They come away with valuable and benevolent advice from their patrons and most hope to follow their donor's example by giving back to their school in the future.

The donors also appreciate these encounters. They have the chance to put a face to the students they support and to see the real impact of their donation and generosity on the lives of these students. The encounters are relaxed, engaging and touching.
