Biography
Daniel Genton is an Affiliate Professor at HEC Paris. Within HEC Executive Education, he regularly teaches strategy, organizational dynamics and change management.
Daniel Genton started his career as a researcher working for the French National Institute for Research in Agronomy (INRA). After completing his thesis in Immunology and Serology, he worked for the French Ministry of agriculture where he ran the Territory Development and Industrial & Agricultural Policy service in Moselle, France.
Turning to the private sector, Daniel Genton then became Head of Development for the Champagne Cereal Group in Reims, in the food industry sector. He then was Managing Director of the French and Spanish affiliates of Gist Brocades, a Dutch biotechnology company. Finally, he became the Industrial & Scientific Managing Director of the Soparind-Bongrain group.
More recently, Daniel Genton founded two consulting companies specializing in strategy and business organizations. He also takes part, as a business partner, in the launch of various start-up companies (food industry, electronics, etc).
From 1998 until 2007, Daniel Genton chaired the Board of Directors of the "National School for Agricultural and Food Industries". Since 2008, he has been chairing the Strategic Analysis Committee of Agro ParisTech, where he regularly teaches in Master's courses.
