Biography

Philippe Pelé Clamour is an Adjunct Professor at HEC Paris. He leads courses in the fields of strategy (implementation, international management, corporate governance) and private equity.

As co-academic director of the Executive MBA, he launchs the track in Russia, delivered in partnership with the Graduate School of Management, Saint Petersburg University. He also contributes to various open and custom programs for HEC Executive Education.

Philippe Pelé Clamour started his career with L'Oreal before becoming Managing Director for Central and Eastern Europe for the BIC Group as well as Chairman of the group's local subsidiaries. He is currently the Chairman of a venture capital fund dedicated to Eurasia.

A specialist of Central and Eastern Europe, Philippe Pelé Clamour is the author or co-author of several books and various articles on the region, and more precisely, on themes such as privatization, energy or diplomatic affairs. In December 2002, he founded the bimonthy review "Le Courrier de Russie".

Philippe Pelé-Clamour is an advisor for French Foreign Trade, appointed by the Prime Minister, and a Fellow of the "Institute of Higher National Defence Studies" (IHEDN).

He graduated from HEC Paris and holds a Ph-D. in Management from Panthéon-Sorbonne Paris I University. His research focuses on independant directors in emerging markets.
