FHR is HEC’s female Rugby club, aiming to introduce women to a sport that is currently male dominated. Three training sessions a week and numerous tournaments, this rugby club allows women to engage fully in a sport that is challenging, active and lots of fun.

The Mission:

  • FHR wants to engage more women in this thrilling sport. With the supervision and guidance of two professional coaches and a huge family that goes well beyond the boundaries of your time at HEC, students can make unique bonds with fellow teammates and progress together on the field.

Key Events:

  • The HEC Talan tournaments starting 6th Oct on campus, as well as several other tournaments.

  • Various sport events organised by other schools across Europe, a particular favourite is the event in Barcelona every November.

  • For the last 3 years, the ‘Coupe de France ESC’ has seen teams from all over France meet on campus of HEC.

  • Weekends are for training- particularly in the Marcoussis centre; official training centre of the French Rugby team.

Why Join the Society?

  • For students who want to keep fit and be part of a close-knit and energetic team, FHR is the place to be! Rugby can be a demanding but extremely enjoyable sport, but FHR hopes to encourage more women to join in with this thrilling sport on campus.

  • There are around 60 members in the association currently. FHR aspire to reach 100 members in the near future.

  • The current president is Margo Landrivon.

  • Sponsors include Akoya, EY and Talan.

Society History:

  • The female rugby was created in 2001, meaning there have been 17 generations of teams. FHR hopes that more and more women will join this vibrant and lively sport team.
