Pascale Defline

Pascale Defline is Associate Professor (Education Track) in Financial Accounting at the Accounting and Management Control Department of HEC Paris, with ten years of professional experience in Audit and Finance Departments in major companies. Her areas of interest are Public Performance Management and Environmental Accounting.

In Public Performance Management, she studies how public sector organizations can integrate quantitative metrics, particularly financial metrics, to achieve positive change.

She also focuses on Environmental Accounting, studying how companies can incorporate their environmental impact into their financial statements. She is an active member of the Sustainable Campus Committee at HEC Paris.

She is the Academic Director of Major / Master AFM (Accounting, Finance and Management) and teaches financial accounting to students of Grande Ecole program and EMBA program.

She received the Pierre-Vernimmen-BNP-Paribas Teaching Award twice, in 2017 and 2023.
