The program was intensive and highly impactful, immersing us in rigorous case studies that demanded we think and act as both data scientists and strategic business consultants. The teaching provided exceptional clarity, practical insights, and industry relevance that significantly enhanced our critical thinking and strategic analysis skills. Guest speakers further enriched our experience, bridging theory and practice seamlessly.

The program was hands-on and fast-paced, exploring how real marketers make decisions and handle trade-offs. The centerpiece was building a complete marketing strategy for an actual start-up and pitching it to the founders. By constantly putting ourselves in the founders’ shoes, we applied each day’s learning directly to our case. This experience contrasted with the theory-first style I know from my home country.”

"With its focus on modern financial technologies, this program is the perfect blend of finance and entrepreneurship and provides a new perspective on the industry. I was particularly impressed by the lecturers' ability to break down complex, modern concepts - such as AI, DeFi, and crypto - into clear and accessible terms. This ability to simplify intricate topics is a hallmark of true expertise.

This program was the missing link that helped me reframe my future. Friends of mine who studied finance told me how difficult and dry accounting can be, yet the professor consistently found intuitive, down-to-earth ways to make abstract concepts clear. Group work, case presentations, and late-night Excel modelling with future consultants, bankers, and entrepreneurs from over 20 nationalities gave me the collaborative exposure I will need in my future career.

Providing a solid overview that went far beyond explaining green financial products and ESG filters, this program deepened my understanding of the risks and challenges of the transition, and how sustainable finance can drive meaningful impact by guiding investors and companies toward strategic choices that support a fairer, low-carbon future. A highlight was the final case study, where we stepped into the role of investors and applied our knowledge to make impactful investment decisions."

The classroom fostered direct interaction between students and the professor, from tackling intricate financial modelling questions to exploring broader finance topics. Everyone demonstrated enthusiasm to learn, and I felt high motivation and genuine collaboration in our classroom. Our team's diverse perspectives, covering topics from market dynamics and investment banking to strategic consulting and math, helped us generate creative solutions and, importantly, opened my eyes beyond my own experience.

This course focused on topics that not only define the future of luxury but also reflect the challenges and opportunities of our current era, economically, politically, and socially. Through case studies, lively debates, and personal insights, we learned that luxury is not just about markets or margins. It’s about emotions, storytelling, and the way a brand makes people feel. Concepts like sustainability and artistry are essential in creating these emotional connections.”

The participants have left campus not only with new knowledge but also with the confidence and drive to take their next steps. They are returning home as better-prepared global citizens, ready to make an impact on their academic and professional journeys.

After this program, I can absolutely see myself returning to HEC Paris for a Master’s degree. The spirit of the school, the professors, and the way the entire program was organized left a lasting impression on me. And let’s not forget the beautiful campus and the proximity to Paris, it truly is an ideal setting for learning and inspiration.” - Michelle Borshchiver
