HEC Paris Among the 5 Winners of the Financial Times Responsible Business Education Awards for Innovative Learning Experience
HEC Paris is proud to be named one of the five winners of the 2024 Financial Times Responsible Business Education Awards! In the "Teaching" category, we were recognized for our innovative 2050NOW learning experience, a groundbreaking M1 course that addresses the most pressing global sustainability challenges. Developed by the HEC Grande École and the Impact Company Lab, 2050NOW uses interactive theater and scenario-based learning to explore megatrends such as climate change, demographic shifts, and the emerging power dynamics of the Global South.

The 2050NOW learning experience immerses students in real-world scenarios, enabling them to understand the long-term impact of business decisions on sustainability. By focusing on megacities most affected by these changes, students gain the tools and insight needed to create systemic solutions for a just and sustainable future.
Marieke Huysentruyt, Academic Director of the HEC Paris Sustainability & Organizations Institute (S&O), shares: "By blending art, theatre, business, and academia, this immersive experience holds immense potential to inspire powerful ideas that will shape future decision-making."
Maureen Sigliano, Executive Director of the Impact Company Lab, reflected on the honor: "The 2050NOW learning experience was a transformational milestone for HEC Paris. It proved to be a unique and ambitious experiment, driven by collaboration across teams, and this FT Award reinforces our motivation to continue forging new paths in sustainability education." This recognition by the Financial Times reinforces HEC Paris’s commitment to fostering responsible leadership through innovative educational programs that equip future leaders with the foresight and tools to tackle global challenges.
