The Department of Economics & Decision Sciences conducts research in economics, decision theory and statistics, with faculty members exploring a wide range of topics in macroeconomics, international trade, game theory, information theory, decision theory, learning, entrepreneurship and statistics.
The department counts around 20 professors. More than 30 articles have been published in top academic journals in Economics, Statistics and Decision Sciences within the last 2 years, and many of our professors received prizes and awards.
The department is in charge of teaching economics, statistics and entrepreneurship at undergraduate level, within specialized master programs and within the MBA program. Two Master Programs, “Managerial and Financial Economics” and “Master in Economics”, are managed by the department. Department professors also offer many courses in the HEC Paris Ph.D. program.
