What do we mean, in business, when we say: “I don’t know”? That we are lazy, and haven’t paid attention to the facts? That we’re dealing with a real open question and that we need to be flexible when the future unravels? Or that we really don’t know because we’re in uncharted waters?
Those three possibilities do not cover the same reality. And yet, we use the same word to describe them, namely “uncertainty.” We’ll think about the implications this has for business and leadership in the complex context of the Middle East and Lebanon.
Speaker: Jeremy Ghez, Associate Professor of Economics and International Affairs (Educational Track) at HEC Paris.
